We also have Spectrum TV. Their cable service goes down just as much as their internet service does. One of our cable boxes broke down a few months after we got it. Spectrum told us we had to drive to their nearest store to switch it out. We live in Houston and their nearest store is 3 HOURS AWAY in San Antonio.
Terrible customer experience and shady practices with this company. Be careful when making changes to your plan. I called to reduce my TV service and they disconnected the service immediately. They didnt mentioned however, that I was only 3 days into my billing cycle. I was later billed for the entire cycle, even though i couldnt use the TV service for 26 days of that billing cycle. If you have other options for internet/tv, I suggest you go with them.

Up until now, I found their customer service exemplary. It took one experience with their senior staff to decide the whole company is rotten. I think because they think they are dealing with poorer customers (vis-a-vis pay as you go plan) with fewer resources, they can afford to be uncompromising and cruel. In this case, they would be wrong, since they will lose hundreds of dollars every month instead of simply working with one customer to attenuate their bill. Goodbye, Spectrum, we're never coming back.
